Amber, sweet, uplifting. The Vin Santo of Chianti Classico DOC by Il Viticcio is one of the showpieces of Greve in Chianti. Time is one of the main ingredients: naturally raisined grapes are harvested and left to dry for three months, then pressed before fermentation, which will last six years. Afterwards, they will age in carefully selected oak barrels. The result is a raisin wine with golden reflections bringing along all the sweetness of the Chianti hills.
